ANOTHER WALLHANGING IN PROGRESS

Here is another wallhanging to use with the Star quilt holder.
The quilts are 18 inches wide by about 32-40 long.
I think the lettering will show up better once I do the hand blanket stitch in black.
I think the snowman is pretty cute and will be great hanging in the winter months at Hunter knob.

GO GATORS

I went to Beall's the other week to buy Bennett
a University of Florida National Championship
TShirt and found these neat
GATOR Tennis shoes for myself for half price.
I have been wearing them to the gym at my exericse classes and they are pretty comfortable.
They are the KSWISS Brand which I've never worn before.

NEW SHAWL

This is a new shawl that I orderd from Warriors in Pink to support Breast Cancer.
It's really neat how each side looks different.
The website is www.fordcares.com

January 2009 NEW TOY and Wallhanging in Progress

Well here is Michael with his new toy. For those that didn't believe the color, here it is.
Actually it's a nice burgandy color and not what I'd call RED. Still for a guy that is your basic black or gray this is pretty awesome.
Hopefully soon we can get it to Hunter knob where it belongs.

Here is my wallhanging in progress.
I have fused down the pieces and am doing some
hand stitching on them.
I bought a nice wrought iron hanger for it and plan
to make some seasonal wallhanging to use at Hunter knob.

Carter's Baptism

Carter's Baptism January 18, 2009

Quilt at St. Marks

I was impressed with this HUGE
logcabin quilt at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Vienna, Virginia.

I'm guessing the quilt must have been maybe 8 feet square.
Such a simple Log Cabin quilt looked so special behind the altar.

VIEW FROM AIRPLANE

The sky and clouds were awesome on the trip from DC on January 19th.
Here are three of the photos.

COLD DAY in JANUARY

Brandy enjoyed cuddling under
the Christmas towel this afternoon.

THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

I am happy to display this photo of
THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
quilt top that I completed this month.
I have taken it to be machine quilted
by Sylvia Broda. I'll add some beading etc.
once it is quilted.
MERRY CHRISTMAS.........

First week of January 2009

Well, here are the Ladies Dancing for the 12 days quilt. I am happy with how they look. The ribbons will be attached after it is quilted.
But they do add a nice touch.
NOW to get busy on the main block with the pear tree.
My goal of finishing this quilt for Christmas is getting closer.

I did some after Christmas shopping at Kohl's on Sunday afternoon just brousing from department to department. I found this awesome leaf table runner. It is made of corduroy fabric and the leaf veins are quilted. It's really neat and will be be nice to use on the island at Hunter Knob.
I used a Christmas table runner there and really liked how it looked.
This one was 80% off. GOOD SALE.

BACK TO THE 12 DAYS BLOCKS

I am back working on the 12 days of
Christmas blocks.
While watching the Orange Bowl Game I
finished the Drummer Drumming. Very
appropriate as the Hokies were winning
my little guy was druming away.
I am not having fun with this project but I
know I will be happy when it's completed so I
keep on working on it.
I think having posted it on the blog inspires me too. As I know my blogging friends are awaiting seeing this project completed.
